Stacey Gillian Abe

Stacey Gillian is a graduate of Industrial Design from Kyambogo University in Uganda, class of 2014. She is currently exhibiting at the second edition of the Kampala Art Biennale. Abe received a travel grant from Prince Claus to the Culture Vultures Residency in Morocco in 2015. In 2014, she completed a residency at 32° East | Ugandan Arts Trust. One of the emerging prominent sculptors in Uganda, Gillian uses glass to create her sculptural installations. She was first runner up of the New Talent Award at KLAART014 -The Boda-Boda Project (2014). Gillian has exhibited her works at numerous group exhibitions including Eroticism and Intimacy at Under Ground, Women Without Borders (Institut Francais Kinshasha), International Stone Talk,(Nairobi Museum, Kenya), Age of Innocence (Fas Fas, Kampala, Uganda, 2013), Something or Nothing and Black (Fas Fas, Kampala, Uganda 2012).
